October is a long month, isn’t it? Luckily we have loads of ideas for sessions in the month ahead!

Our AGM and annual prizegiving is on October 17th. All are VERY welcome to come along and help us say thank you to our fantastic Senior Helpers for all their hard work.

On Tuesday 9th October local young businesswoman Ella will be visiting for a nail taster session and chat about what it takes to run a business…. and on Monday 15th we’ll be heading to a restaurant chosen by the Seniors (if they can agree – otherwise it’ll be pizza at the club!) and don’t forget our famous Halloween Party is on Wednesday 31st woop woop!! 😀

News and updates:

Data protection and new registration forms (GDPR)
We have produced new registration forms to ensure we are fully compliant with the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).

Why we ask for information and what we do with it

We ask for your details so we can get in touch with you during sessions if needed, for example, to check pick up arrangements or in case of emergency.
We ask for relevant medical and health information to help us meet everyones needs and plan safe sessions.
We may use anonymised postcode, age, gender, ethnicity or health data of our members as evidence of youth club membership in reports or applications for funding. (This is enormously helpful in applications for funds to support the club.) However, we do NOT use data if young people or families could be identified from it.

We only have one copy of your personal details – the registration form you and your child filled in – and they are filed securely in a locked filing cabinet at The Yard in paper form only. We never share contact details or other information with anyone without consent, unless we would be breaking the law not to do so.

Photo permission – all ages

Unless you have said otherwise on your child’s registration form or verbally at any time, we will assume that the club has permission to use photos of our activities, which may include your child, to evidence the club’s activities publicly or to external organisations ie funding bodies. Photos will be chosen sensitively and if we are not sure, the young person will be asked for permission.
